The "Smile-In Healthy-Out" (SmiHlt) program is dedicated to spreading knowledge about reversing prediabetes and preventing Type 2 diabetes (T2D). The establishment of SmiHlt, operational for over a year, was inspired by the widespread impact of prediabetes, especially among young people. Despite this, over 80% of those affected remain unaware, as highlighted by the CDC. Prediabetes significantly raises the risk of T2D, heart disease, and stroke. Without lifestyle intervention, many people with prediabetes could develop T2D within 5 years. Therefore, raising awareness about healthy diet and exercise, and capitalizing the golden 5-year window, are essential in addressing prediabetes.

Our blog, meticulously organized into three sections, aims to assist prediabetics in adopting healthier lifestyles and preventing diabetes:

• A 'Portfolio' of Reversing Prediabetes

• Boosting Mental & Emotional Health

SmiHlt is in its early stages, much like a seedling budding; as we embark on this journey, we are committed to growing alongside individuals managing prediabetes. With the active participation and support of everyone involved, SmiHlt will thrive, contributing meaningfully to society.
